
The Operational Technology (OT) and Cloud Security Training for the ASEAN region successfully concluded on 29th January 2026 in Bangkok, strengthening regional cyber resilience and cooperation.
Delivered through a strong partnership between the European Union through EU CyberNet and AJCCBC under NCSA Thailand and JICA, the four-day programme combined hands-on technical exercises, real-world case studies, and policy-focused discussions to tackle today’s OT and cloud security risks.
Training Highlights
• Day 1: Strengthened operational readiness and cross-sectoral understanding, with a focus on building resilient critical infrastructure.
• Day 2: Focused on cloud security characteristics, tools, and frameworks to better manage and respond to cloud-related cyber risks.
• Day 3: Returned focus to operational technology through real-world case studies and practical cyber incident response scenarios.
• Day 4: Concluded with discussions on enhancing cyber resilience, cross-sector and cross-border cooperation, and incident preparedness.
Led by EU experts Aldolfo Caldeira (Portugal), Radoslaw Gnat (Poland), and Roman Konicek (Czech Republic), the training brought together participants from Brunei, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Timor-Leste, and Thailand for active learning and exchange of ideas.
Closing remarks were delivered by AVM Amorn Chomchoey, Secretary General, NCSA and Ms. Liina Areng, Director of EU CyberNet, who underscored the value of collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and continued partnership in addressing evolving cyber threats.
Together, we are strengthening cyber capacity and building a more secure digital future for the region.
