The 43rd AJCCBC Cybersecurity Technical Training Programme on CYDER (Cyber Defense Exercise with Recurrence) and Malware Analysis concluded successfully on 10 July 2026, following five days of intensive hands-on learning and collaboration among 24 participants from nine ASEAN Member States and the ASEAN Secretariat.
During the programme, participants sharpened their skills in cyber incident investigation, threat detection, and malware analysis through practical exercises designed to simulate real-world scenarios. Discussions throughout the training underscored the enduring importance of fundamental cybersecurity competencies, particularly incident response and malware analysis, as organizations adapt to an increasingly AI-driven threat landscape.
At the closing ceremony, Captain Sirinate Rugvong, Senior Advisor of Thailand’s National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), and Dr. Sakuda Yoshihiro, Director of the Asia Center, National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), commended the participants for their dedication and highlighted the value of continued regional cooperation in strengthening cybersecurity resilience. They also recognized the successful partnership between Thailand and Japan, implemented through JICA under the AJCCBC framework.
To conclude the programme, NCSA hosted a networking reception that enabled participants, trainers, and organizers to exchange insights, foster professional relationships, and reinforce collaboration across the ASEAN cybersecurity community.
