AJCCBC and MIC Strengthen ASEAN Cybersecurity Capacity Through Specialized Online Training Programs

Last week, AJCCBC, in collaboration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) of Japan, conducted two online cybersecurity training sessions, managed through PwC.

The first session, held on 9 December 2025, focused on AWS Cloud Security and brought together 29 cybersecurity professionals from across ASEAN. The training was delivered by expert instructors from Cyber Security Cloud Inc. and Trainocate, providing participants with practical insights into securing cloud environments.

The second session, titled “Intensive Training for Cyber Attack and Defense,” took place on 11 December 2025. Led by a trainer from Amiya Corporation, the session covered cybersecurity fundamentals, targeted email attack simulations, and incident response exercises. A total of 30 trainees participated in this hands-on training.

These initiatives reflect Japan’s continued commitment to strengthening cybersecurity capacity in the ASEAN region, demonstrated through its support for AJCCBC and the implementation of these specialized training programs.

Looking ahead, an additional in-person cybersecurity training sessions in collaboration with MIC of Japan is planned for March next year, further reinforcing this strong partnership.

We hope that the knowledge and practical skills gained from these sessions will prove valuable to participants in their ongoing efforts to strengthen cybersecurity readiness within their respective organizations and countries.
